Joanne and Maurice have just sent out their 8000th parcel to British troops in Afghanistan. With generous donations from well wishers and local businesses, Jo and Mo boost soldiers' morale, and receive daily letters of thanks from the front line. Recently awarded the Local Hero Award at the Western Gazette Pride Awards 2011, Jo and Mo will be blogging about the contact they have from soldiers, their impending documentary on Dutch television, and their other amazing experiences

I am flying to Mozambique with Save the Children to help make some noise ahead of the global vaccines summit in June. One in five children worldwide don’t receive vaccinations of any kind, this leaves them vulnerable to life threatening diseases like pneumonia and measles. I will be following a vaccine from the London along ‘the cold chain’ to a rural community. Vaccines need to be kept cold in very challenging circumstances under the blazing sun and I will be seeing how that is achieved!
