Had a very exciting evening at Living Coasts, the marine aviary complex at Torquay, Devon. Students from Torquay Girls Grammar School and South Devon College created astonishingly creative outfits worthy of the Paris or Milan catwalk, all out of recycled materials like supermarket bags and old fishing nets.

Great Lunch at Legendary Burgh Island Hotel, Bigbury-on-Sea, Devon

Today I joined Deborah and Tony Orchard-Clark at the legendary Burgh Island Hotel, setting for the Agatha Christie tale, ' And Then There Were None'. A beautiful sunny day, I was met by a uniformed chauffeur on arrival at Bigbury-on-Sea, driven across the sand by Land Rover and deposited at this wonderful Art Deco hotel.

Gorgeous celebrity Chef Lesley Waters provided us with a superb cookery demo and lunch and Henry Digby (12th Lord Digby of Minterne House) provided the history with a fascinating talk about his lovely family home.
